Over the next couple of weeks we will have spotlight highlights of our upcoming Fall Harvest Festival! Fabulous items will be available to bid on at our silent auction, this includes class baskets, and many special unique gift items. Delicious food, tasty fall pies, spooky root beer floats, goblins hot apple cider, along with other delightful fall treats will be offered. A spooktacular pumpkin patch will greet festival goers as they enter the grounds! You may have your picture taken in the pumpkin patch (or maybe a family portrait), the fun goes all evening! Hay bales and corn stocks will welcome all to the old country fruit stand filled with autumn’s fruits and vegetables. Anyone with extra fall garden bounty who would be willing to donate to the fruit stand, please call me at the number below. Your support is very much appreciated. More details in next week’s column about the creepy haunted house, delightful games and, all the pumpkin harvest contests during the evening.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the Stanislaus County Flu shot clinic at St. John’s Lutheran Church here in Valley Home on November 3rd. This is a great opportunity to stay healthy this winter, and is much appreciated by our community.

We have some very special birthdays this month. We’ll start with one of our most community minded young people. This would be Austin Dickens, who is off to college now at Cal Poly but when home he always does what he can to help his community. Next we celebrate the birthdays of two young men who are both talented and tons of fun. Logan Lignowski and Seth Presant are both elementary school students and both are excellent students! Our last two birthday wishes go out to two lovely ladies who really know how to enjoy themselves ... Our birthday girls are Kathy Bryhni and Vickie Dickens. Both of these delightful young women give 100 percent to making Valley Home a great place to live. Happy Birthday to all and may each of you be blessed with many returns of your special day!
