Knights Ferry News Week of February 26, 2014

POSTED February 25, 2014 4:23 p.m.

There have been sightings of a Golden Eagle in the Horseshoe/Orange Blossom road area. The Golden Eagle has a wingspan of 7 feet. It eats rabbits and rodents where the Bald Eagle eats fish. If you can get a close look at the Golden Eagle it has feathers down to its toes and the Bald Eagle’s legs are bare. There are more sightings of the Bald Eagle in this area as it eats fish.
