There have been sightings of a Golden Eagle in the Horseshoe/Orange Blossom road area. The Golden Eagle has a wingspan of 7 feet. It eats rabbits and rodents where the Bald Eagle eats fish. If you can get a close look at the Golden Eagle it has feathers down to its toes and the Bald Eagle’s legs are bare. There are more sightings of the Bald Eagle in this area as it eats fish.

Condolences go out to the family of Bill Lemon who died February 11th. Bill lived many years on Horseshoe Road. He was a member of the Knights Ferry Community Church. His wife Sue, daughter Sandra, stepchildren Kathy and Troy, survive him. His service was last Thursday and he is buried in the Knights Ferry Oak Grove Cemetery.

Birthday greetings to Mary Morris on her 105th birthday!

Denise Crom is closing The Barn in Escalon and is doing business as The Barn at Bloomingcamps. She is making her yummy pies and is making chicken pot pies that sell right out of the oven. Stop by and see what she is doing!
