Knights Ferry School Board met Thursday at their new time - 5:30 p.m. This early time enables teachers to attend. The Board approved the Audit and the Board Policies. Superintendent Cheryl told of the installation of the public address system over vacation. This was a safety issue. The fiber optics line to the school has been turned on. There will be a mobile computer lab with 25 laptops coming next week so the students can take the tests for Common Core. The Character Assembly was on NED, Never give up-Encourage others-Do your best.

Condolences go out to the family of Ida Napier Levin. She was born in the Ferry to Esther and Claude Napier and raised in the house that is now the Ice Cream Parlor and Museum. She was Carla Doshas’s aunt.

Pat Johnson enjoyed the visit of her son Will and his wife Anna over Christmas break. Pat’s other son, Sam and his fiancé Veronica came for Christmas and they all went to Pat’s brother’s Jim’s home for dinner and shotgun shooting.

The Silent Auction and Dinner put on by the Knights Ferry Parent/Teacher group will be in March. Donation of items for the raffle are needed.

The first check for Box Tops for Education came in to Knights Ferry School for the amount of $238.90. What a painless way to earn money!

The geese in the Dolling’s pond are gathering daily. There are a lot of them now, very noisy!
