The Valley Home MAC met last Wednesday evening with a full house of information reported to those present. Among the representatives was the County Redevelopment Agency Representative Aaron Farnon who reported on a survey that is due in December but the Valley Home area’s will be held until January so if you would like to get your input reported, plan on attending the Valley Home MAC meeting.

The Valley Home MAC was started two years ago and this was the last meeting for appointed two-year council members – Joseph Perez and Patti Foard, who received Expression of Appreciation Certificates from the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors. The certificates were presented by Raul Mendez from the Chief Executive’s Office. The two new members – Sharon Hoffman and Nancy Osmundson will be sworn in on the council at the January 2010 meeting. One vacancy still remains on the council and it is hoped to be filled soon.

Joseph Perez, Chairman of Valley Home Community Center Board reported that at long last the power pole has been placed and the next step is installation of the power boxes and trenching for the power and water lines. It is hoped these can be completed by the end of the year.

A report was made by Captain Hoyer, Oakdale Rural Fire District on the district’s activity for the past month – 56 total calls plus four assisting other fire districts. He also talked about the Gate Report that covers the next five years which will be presented to the residents on November 30th (evening) at the Gene Bianchi Center.
