Birthday greetings for the month of November go out to: Bob Brunker Jr., Phil Frymire, John Krick, Freddy Mesker, Matt Holcomb, Sara Mesker, Alex Krippner, Roger Ray, Elise Seeds, Bill Carr, Bill Higgins, Ben Cassinetto, Dorothy McKinsey, Wyatt Dickens, Ian Carroll, Paris Thompson, Brittlynn Waggoner, Elissa Simons, Megan Miller, Andie Jones, Kim Mediros, Jasmin Olvera, Frank Rossi, Tristan McCarthy, Presley Wilson, Zachary Harbottle, Ivan Merza and Megan Willis.

The Knights Ferry Community Club dinner and meeting was well attended. Melanie Fisher spoke on the Salmon Festival and said the salmon count so far this year is 600. Sheriff Adam Christianson and his family were guests as was Birgit Fladager, District Attorney. After the meal, Birgit spoke on her 3½ years in office. With the budget shrinking it is a challenge. The District Attorney’s Office reviews 21,000 cases a year. The best thing they have come up with is the Gang Injunction. In the identified area, a gang member cannot wear colors, associate with other gang members, has a curfew etc. and can be jailed if found doing these. They plan on making another area an injunction area. This has worked well in Southern California. It was a very interesting and informative talk. During the meeting part of the night, the Christmas Dinner (Dec. 3) was planned and the OHS will provide singers again this year.

Gary and Barbara Shook have returned from visiting their son and family in Las Vegas. They towed a BMW motorcycle down to their son. They enjoyed spending Halloween with the grandchildren.

Welcome to the world Taylor Mickie Witzke, born November 5th to Bonnie (Noe) and John Witzke. She weighed in at 7 pounds 4 ounces and was 19 inches long. Proud Knights Ferry grandparents are Beverly and Randy Noe. Welcoming Taylor home are big sisters Makena and Aubrey.

Get well wishes go out to John P., Alex N. and Tim H.
